need an opinion from you guys if you dont mind

Mates got a mint condition 106 gti silver W reg with 73,000 on the clock and been superchipped n tht (rapid) wanting 1500 ono (movi ng to spain)

i have my beloved mk2 Saxo 51 plate with 48,000 on the clock and needs a clutch and a service soon,and it was a cat D write off (bonnet and bumper

he asked me tonight if i would consider a swap of somekind?

im only 17 but i can afford to insure this gti

what do you guys think i should do??

Cheers in advance any help tips anything really will help!!

if you cant afford to insure it mate dont get it lol...
but if you can insure it imo if the gti as service history and been looked after i would do a deal

Get the gti are you mad they are all around a better car
nicer interior, better handeling, much quicker, much better looking

well i thought this too but my old man think im mad lol hes just an old fart at the end of the day lol

ehm i said to him a striaght swap but i get to keep my black team dynamics pro rac 1.2s and he said he would think about it,

also it has part service history but all recipts for work done by pugecosse

mot till july and tax till sept

My VTR has 6 month tax as of monday, and mot till june

i think its a good deal myself as ive had a few people look at my car but just walk off when u tell them its been in an accident lol

just noticed you swapped for a gti aswell in your wee profile bitty

it has had a dastek unichip ported and polished head loads of work done to head, upgraded throttle body ramair induction kit 4 branch de-cat full system

its STUNNING

vtrs are great cars but even a vts cant compare to a gti, they are all around better and vtr/s are common where as gtis are quite rare.

my insurance is 3800 for my gti but i wouldnt think twice about paying it even again next year i like the car so much

my pal who works in a garage is trying to get me to put a supercharger in my gti haha but i dnt think im going to do that its alreaddy modded to perfection

Sounds like a good swap as long as theres not anything major wrong with it.

Id want one with leather interior if i was getting one

Loads around Burton all yellow though!

Very rare round my way there is 2 i have seen in edinburgh a yellow one and this silver one which YES has leather inside

aw mate get it superchipped and fook knows what else but this one is RAPID!!! serious beat a m5 down 1/4 mile at crail!

not chipped supercharged

with the turbo thats in (not standard turbo) and all the mods if i get it supercharged im just askin for trouble but it would probably blow any car on the road i think its alreddy around 200 bhp

im not going to get it done its alredy super quick beats nearly every car iv races off the lights its kept up with a clio cup off the lights and they are something like 0-60 in 6.6 seconds

i dont know y but i just preffer the saxos for looks and for some reason i preffer the dash board in the saxo's aswell personal pref but the insurence seems to high for some one my age (18)

hows a gti qucker than a vts there the same...

....i agree with saxoaeee...the interior and dash looks dated and old and the front of the car ! ..the saxo looks more modern than the 106.

why would he want to swap cars if hes moving to spain? sounds bit dodgy to me mate ive seen gti go for around £2800 in the state your talking about...shouldnt it be worth even more though if it has all them specs you described..

like baker sed, hidden agenda here i recon, going to spain exactly why he want another car. and gti are much easier 2 sell than a vtr specially 1 as nice as u have described. remeber the golden rule a deal to good 2 b tru will b just that! lol
