If its on full or near full lock then probably a driveshaft as saxos are common for them.

Park the car on the flat, pop the bonnet, turn the battery on but don't start it. If you jiggle the wheel side to side do you get your banging noise? Can you see one of the rubber top mounts moving?

i had this trouble a while back it only made the noise when the car was on full left ock i found out eventually it was the centre exhaust mount knocking on the undeside of the car as it swung across just needed to pop it bakc on tightly

You tried what I suggested? I had a similar problem and it turned out to be a loose top mount - need to get them tightened with a windy gun at a garage.

Long connector rod that connects from the strut to the end of the anti roll bar on each end mate. The ARB is the curvy bar that runs under the car near the front, thhe bit the exhuast dips down to dodge. When these arent tight you get a knocking, I had it before
