Banging Noise When Turn
Just got a lovely saxo VTR today! will put pics soon! but when it turns after so far it makes a bang noise, now the guy says the garage dont know what it is, any ideas what it could be? it sounds as if something is catching

If its on full or near full lock then probably a driveshaft as saxos are common for them.

CV joint mate it happend to mine so you will need new driveshaft/s which you can fit yourself... i think theres a how to guide on here somewhere for it!

Could be either a cv joint or a top mount?
does it sort of feel like its falling side to side when u turn ?

Park the car on the flat, pop the bonnet, turn the battery on but don't start it. If you jiggle the wheel side to side do you get your banging noise? Can you see one of the rubber top mounts moving?

Got told by the seller that it could be top mount as garage couldnt find what was wrong with it

i had this trouble a while back it only made the noise when the car was on full left ock i found out eventually it was the centre exhaust mount knocking on the undeside of the car as it swung across just needed to pop it bakc on tightly

tbh dont think its exhaust but its nowhere near full lock when it happens

You tried what I suggested? I had a similar problem and it turned out to be a loose top mount - need to get them tightened with a windy gun at a garage.

Long connector rod that connects from the strut to the end of the anti roll bar on each end mate. The ARB is the curvy bar that runs under the car near the front, thhe bit the exhuast dips down to dodge. When these arent tight you get a knocking, I had it before
