Default ive just broken down engine manegment light is on :(

as title says ive just broken down ive just been messing around with the starter motor as it wasn't engaging so i basically dissconnected and bolted it back on after checking to see of it works then the car started straight away i took it for a test run now ive just broken down around the corner from my house but its still gonna be a mission to push it back the ecu wouldn't have locked it self would it? It is\an unlocked ecu, ive just dissconnected the battery ill leave ot for about 10 min to see if it resets the ecu or something

No it wont lock the ECU.

Did you connect up the starter motor properly? You got a positive on there and a large wire from the wiring loom then a smaller on on the solanoid bit also from the loom.

Make sure you got the earth from the battery connected to th gearbox as this will complete the curcuit from the battery> starter motor> alternator and back to battery. Also an Earth from the loom further down it which connects the the gearbox

If thats all good then its a sensor somewhere.

well i only unbolted the starter motor i didn't tale any wires off it then i got my mom to turn the key so o could check the starter motor was spinning and coming out then all i did was put the three bolts back in and it started on the forst turn then it just cut out_ the engine is turning over just there's something electronically stopping it, now the ecu is making a werid noise after i try to start it_ there's definitely something up wit the ecu, just checked all the sensors they are all plugged in

haha no problem mate, glad you got it sorted. The loom can be quite tight round there so quite easy to pull a wire off and not notice!
