id spend it on a 16v conversion for about £300 then with the rest should go on handling/braking you could make it stick like a go-kart for that lol for a grand if you did the work your self could have a very very nice saxo

I think a respray is probably a good idea! Surely it's gunna be tight with a grand though? And spend the extra £1 on de-wipering it? ha

i literally, got the car, changed the interior, door cards etc, stripped the rear bare, fitted jbl speakers and a head unit, added induction kit and oil breather thing within a week.
What i want to do is:
Black bucket seats
red 3 point harnesses
red and black racing wheel
re tint the windows
new black and red door cards
red carpet
full sub build in the rear
amps fitted under both seats for door speakers
get a new mongoose exhaust system with 4-2-1 manifold
vts engine
short shifting gear box
quick shift griffiths thing
closed induction
raise car so its 40mm all round
full respray with gloss black bump strips
refurbish alloys
camms
port polish
remap
show cage
And i think il be satisfied

i got a VTS lump complete that you could have, then I would de-cat, then remap, then go nuts with handling mods and brakes

Don't exepct much of a paint job for £600. I'd spend the money on fixing the car and getting it running spot on. Before you say theres nothing wrong, look hard enough and you'll find faults.

sell the car, add the money you get for it plus the bonus of a grand and get a Saxo that's already tidy which has the mods you want and doesn't need a respray. imso (s is for sensible)
tbh reading throuh this thread and posts and your ambitions for a engine conversion to vts and other mods, the above is the most logical thing to do, just buy a Saxo VTS (they are dead cheap now) with the combined money, it would work out cheap and over all better

my insurance goes up 400 quid, if i put a vts engine in my car, it goes up 900 if its a normal vts (a new car) i dont understand y? hence the conversion

plus the whole point of buying the car is as a project, if i wanted to buy a vts thats already modded id have no sense of achievement. The paint job will be good, i know ppl who have had theres done there from work and they drive nice cars aswell
