Yeah been shooting ever since i can remember with my dad and brother.
Mostly shotgun shooting. Decoying and flighting pigeons in the summer months, imo some of the best days shooting i've ever had.
Rear about 1700 phesants on a local shoot each year and go pheasant shooting and beating most saturdays when in season.
Shoot quite a lot rabbits and the odd fox as well (either lamping or just in the light evenings) with the .22

where do you go hunting? does it have to be a specific place so you dont shoot people by accident.

What sort of gun would you be after? Air rifle? Shotgun? Rifle?
I do most of my shooting on an 800 acre farm that we lease. If you're safe and sensible about it and know what you're doing, shooting people by accident would be a very hard thing to do. Although I have seen some very dangerous things happen at a shoot ages ago by somebody who was inexperienced and didn't know how to handle a gun properly.

I dont have any large areas or anything but i assume there are some shooting ranges?

I love shooting but don't own any guns just have shot at targets with 2.2 air rifle, pistols, and the proper big loud guns that almost dislocate your shoulder lol

Yeah you really wouldn't! Swinging a loaded shotgun with the safety off through a line of people, shooting at ridiculously low birds etc...
Lets just say he didn't get on too well with gamekeeper (or anyone else for that matter) after it happened

Yeah a rifle you're thinking off will use proper 'bullets' that use powder and are usually bolt action. I think you could use a .22 without a scope down a short range, however scoped up they are much better when properly sighted in.
They are completely legal you just need to get yourself a firearms license

Look on www.guntrader.co.uk , will give you quite a good idea on prices. Search for your local gun shops as well, I've got about 3 within 20min drive of me, and they usually have quite a good selection. Auctions are also a good place.
And there not really as expensive as a lot of people rekon imo. I know a lot more about shotguns, and you can pick up a very decent shotgun for around £3/400. However these can go up to £100,000 + but same with cars i suppose lol.
And my dad bought a very nice CZ .22 rifle with a decent scope, bi-pod and sling for about £600. But again rifles can go for silly money, just depends what you want really
