Seat Ibiza 2.0 GTI 16v?
Just interested in your opinions or any advice about these cars. Im interested in the pre facelift 1997-1998 car. Insurance group 10 and 150bhp sound too good to be true.
Will insurance companies insure me on this being only 18 with almost 1 year NCB? Ive had a quote of £1600 with 1 year NCB and im a bit skeptic.
Btw this is the rarer air con version without leather seats, ive seen them going very cheap and thought of it as a possibility.

Buy one. If you can afford an 1.8 20V Turbo get one of them instead though.

Same power as standard. But it's relatively easy to get a lot more from the Mk3 1.8T's. K03s turbo from a Leon/TT etc, exhaust, intercooler, induction and a map and you're looking 220+bhp... Just a map on an otherwise standard car and you're looking at not far short of 200bhp.
Not a massive fan of the mk2s, although they do sound well, and do seem to go well, as for other aspects of them, i've not really looked into them.

Not bothered about the looks i just thought what a bargain for such a quick car, so i thought. I was thinking breathing mods, chip and remap, what BHP am i looking at? (Mk2 i mean)

The interior is boring but i just wanted the air con and speed tbh. And as for speed what are they like?
Spec = Top speed - 134mph, 0-60 7.6s (apparently)

The acceleration and speed isnt as quick as they are on the book, but if you do get one - has to be in black or Kiwi, there is lots of tuning parts for them though - so cant see why it wouldnt be hard to get lots more of power out of it.

Mk2s in the spec you listed are a good little car, not the most inspiring drives but all round they are good.
If you sees nice one and like it I'd say go for it

Apparently they are just lupo's underneath, they actually look like a mk1 saxo/lupo lol
I want straight line performance i doubt it will see track time. Considering im going from a 1.1 im shure it would be fast
