Default If You Had To Give a Presentation On Anything...

What would it be any why?

Ive got to give a seven minute one at work, can be on anything i want, and i cant decide, as it can be anything its harder to come up with an idea.

It has to be sensible, and interesting (not football related). So anyone got any ideas what i could do?

I was going to do it on why we shouldnt give to animal charities but it could turn into a bit of a debate, which is not what i should be doing, interaction is fine, but not full blown debate.

I do expect the usual stupid answers but would like some sensible ones too

being a chef, and loving sandwiches, it would be the arguement, can you call a sandwich, a sandwhich, if it hasnt got butter on the bread, im not taking the piss now either, as once in tesco i had a corned beef sandwich which had no butter to my dissappointment, and the corned beef had nothing to stick it to the bread, and whilst driving, the corned beef fell out, true story too

The competitive game of tiddly winks?

Just choose something really random that you know nothing about, that way you will present the information you found interesting and miss out the mundane information.

Could do a talk about how to perform an appendicectomy, never know when you might need to!! This is where I learnt how to do it before my first go! http://www.surgeons.org.uk/general-s...dicectomy.html

It cant be anything to in detail, as if you bore them, you get marked down for it, i have to do two, one 12 min, one 7 min, 12 minute one im doing on what was my track build saxo, i know all bout it and can easily talk for 12 minutes on it, its just the 7 minute one.

The sandwich one is really good example, i could take in examples too. Something to think about i suppose.

I thought they were quite humane really, its how the nazi's did it anyway.

If you have a projector or a dvd player make a dvd player with a slideshow of amazing engineering things, and a short 5 seconds on each on with a few fact, always amazing stuff. but obv focus on somthing aswell to take up the 7 minutes.

"Here is the empire state building, its big....so, any questions?"

job done

What is the purpose of the presentation?

Is it to test your competency under pressure, character or something obscure?

How about a presentation on the evolution of mealtimes, and how we've gone from treating eating as a necessity to being a social event? You could integrate the history of the sandwich and educate everyone as to why you eat lunch at lunchtime, tea at tea time and dinner in the evening.

Food for thought
