Gave the Saxo a clean, changed my products.
Right well for a start.
J222JRA will be pleased I have ditched some of my AutoGlym stuff.
It's not that I do not rate it, there are stuff out there (which I always knew about) which is cheaper and is as good/better than the AG stuff.
Saxo has been dirty for a few days and as it is going off the road next week over winter and so I've been neglecting it. It will get one more clean before it gets locked away in the garage.
Method:
- Bilberry Wheel cleaner I like 1:10
- Rinsed car
- Two bucket method and only using a cheap wash mit from NE Detailing right now.
- DoDo Juice Supernatural Shampoo
- G101 Multi Purpose cleaner, diluted to 1:50
- Chemical Guys Blitz
- Meguiars Hot Tyre Shine
- Meguiars Drying towel
Process:
Sorry for the crap phone pics, dad has took camera with him.
Before I started, It was dirty:
Wheels were quite dirty
Bilberry On:
After cleaning wheels and rinsing them I sprayed G101 Multi Purpose cleaner all around the tough dirt areas of the car to agitate the dirt.
Two buckets of water, One with grit guard and shampoo, other clear water for rinsing
Meguiars Drying Towell and Chemical Guys Blitz (smells lush)
DONE:
iPhone's have shit camera's, can't deal with the two tone colours

Thanks Tom,
Yeah that G101 stuff is very good.
Normally dirt on the bottom is a pain in the arse but it took the heavy stuff off very well.
I rarely snow foam my car since my Snow Foam isn't pH Neutral and it takes all my wax etc off.
Should really buy some that is pH Neutral lol.

What the hell are you on about ?
BTW you got the grit guard in the wrong bucket, if you've only got one.
Should be in the rinse bucket so you can rub your mitt against it when rinsing.

I've always been told to use the Grit guard in your soap bucket and from all the videos I've watched on the internet.
Better to have 2.
What you mean what the hell am I on about.
It is a popularity contest. I'm not going to rise to your bait.

If you've only got one grit guard I would use it in the rinse bucket as to clean your mitt on when your rinsing it. Wouldn't really do anything in the suds bucket as you don't pick the suds up from the bottom of the bucket anyway.
And I genuinely don't understand what your on about with the whole popularity thing ? This isn't exactly the busiest of sections on the forum, so why does it matter that it takes a day for someone to comment ?
Car looks good though

6 hours past, no one commented and you throw a hissy?
Take your head out your fucking arse, find the nearest cliff and jump off it!
View count is higher than replies, so people have looked! But maybe the thread was shit, and mot worth mentioning anuthing on it!
I dont do detailong, im more than happy with a rinse and be done with it! Or pay mikey to do it for me!
But when i do look in this section, the bestter threads are epic, full of detail, products, beforee after, what they do, and dont do. I ready anything that james has commented in, because he knows his shit, and makes the thread worth reading!
Not even a handfull of decent pictures, to show anything really doesnt impress anyone! We want to see detail! Hence the fucking name detail!

Car is looking good, although it wasn't actually that dirty before you started! You must be pernickety
Also to rub salt in your wounds, the thread Krys made of my car after a simple snow foam and wheel clean, got to 4 pages - http://www.saxperience.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=320608
