been thinking i am away to strip and rebuild my vts engine (milage getting on a bit) and was wandering while i have it apart what to do. Was thinking of lightning and balncing and port and polish. Is this worth it. Any other ideas to do whilst its apart

it will be a whole new ecu so yeah.
dont say chip, have a remap if not going tbs, otherwise if you are and your engines out, go for it.
ssc have got kms standolone group buy going now, have a read on there mate. 550 for a base map and you can buy your tbs at a later date.

to be honest i wouldn't go throttle bodies unless you're upgrading to wild cams and high comp pistons, which are really needed to get the most out of them. otherwise it's too much money for little relative gains imo.
while the engine is out i'd replace the oil pump, water pump, replace tappets, timing belt etc but it depends how far you want to go and how much you want to spend really.
