Default Cleaning Alloys cheap - £1!?

Was dragged into Poundland the other day and saw the auto care section, found some 'Autoworks Wheel shine' and decided to give it a go, my alloys were pretty clean so didn't really notice much of a difference, then noticed my dads were pretty dirty as he hardly ever washes them and he parks the car in a farm when he goes to work.

Was pretty surprised with the results, just gave it a quick spray with this foam stuff, left it for 30 seconds as advised and rinsed off, this was the finish on the front wheel:

Before:

After:

Not bad for a 30 second job, thought some of you may find this useful.
Did both my car and my dads and still got most of the can full of the stuff!

Yeah they sell primer / white or black paint and used to sell lacquer in mine, it's perfect for doing a quick tidyup on wheels etc

Not bad for a quid but for detailing you would have to clean a bit harder

As for the paint they sell id advise against it, its shite, poor quality and defiantly not good for refurbing wheels

Have used the primer for like 4 sets in the past seems fine. No point in buying primer for £6 quid a can in halfrauds or whatever imo.

I know sod all about painting, but surely it makes sense to have the best baselayer possible? Otherwise the outer layer is only as strong as what its on?

Wouldnt build a house on poundland foundations

Yeah, don't get me wrong if you're refurbishing a set of BBS splits I wouldn't use cheap spray / primer / lacquer but doing a cheapo set seems perfectly fine.

Have done a few sets of VTS wheels & P-slots, results were pretty good
