Just got insured but..
I got insured yesterday on my Vtr, but when i type my Registration number into the AskMid website, it still says im uninsured, does it take a while to update?

depends entirely on the insurer, someone will have to put it on. some insurers are worse than others for updating

yeah it can, i was waiting to tax mine online before my insurance documents came through, but was having the same problem you are having.
Took a week for mine to be shown as insured.

technically then can add it instantly, they just dont. check it in about a week and see what it says

it does take a few days for most companys, happened to me when i bought my vts, got pulled and the bloke said this cars got no mot,tax or insurance when the lot had been done that day, as long as you have the paperwork then your covered if you get stopped

Mine took about 6 months lol i had to keep ringing them, i got pulled all time for bieng uninsured and it took a copper ringing my insurance for me for them to put it on the database

i was quite lucky with mine as my insurance company did it litterally as i was on the phone to them. think its luck of the draw sometimes.

Its actually a legal requirement they put it on within a certain amount of days, think its 10 days?
I had to speak to a manager and everything when one insurance company was messing me about.
But yeah, in answer to your question.. it usually takes about a week.

wouldnt worry too much, my personal reg on most insurance sites comes up with my old clio 182 which i aint had for nearly 2 years!

as he says,,i got stopped once as the askmid hadnt been updated i explaind the insurance was started 2 days ago and the cop said thats will be why is not showing up,,showed my covernote thingy and he was happy with this and sent me on my way

quinn direct? they went through a phase of not adding cars to the MID until they really had to, saved them money and made it harder for other insurers to trace claims back to them!
