Default Andrewz Possi Blue Mk1 VTR S Replia

Thought I would start a new progress thread with all the work IV done so far.

I’ve been unsure on what route to take and basically this is what I’ve come up with. May not be to some people's taste but as most of the parts needed changing anyway iv decided to go for the S replica look for now.

Just in till the car has been cleaned up!

PURCHASED
It was standard apart from:
Colour coded trims
195/45/16s Oz Alloys
Lowered around 40-50mm I believe
Piper cross induction

Had a few problems that I had to look into.
Bumper laqour had peeled
8v engine had blown
etc

ENGINE
First things first were the engine conversion.
I decided to go team 16v!
Engine had done roughly 80000miles. I changed the cam belt, coil pack, gaskets and crank shaft pulley. And it’s running on a standard s box.

Still needs some TLC in the bay but is running nicely

FRONT BUMPER
The driver’s side clip decided to brake on my bumper and the whole thing decided to continue down a hill when I stopped one day. Was a pain in the arse as I was driving around with a desire bumper for about 3months!

So I finally got off my arse last week and bought a new one. Needs colour coding but I’m not sure if I should go back to black trims again or not!? Hmmm

I also changed the front grill as one of the chevelons where missing.

Also picked up some new fog lights

WHEELS
I’ve decided I do really like the Oz alloys, although they are curbed to hell! And there is some chunks missing!

So I’ve taken them off and I’m going to look into getting them refurbed, powder coat them in white and use them as show rims.

So I bought these:

I really like the driving comfort with these. Its feels less sloppy round corners and good news... I can go full lock without them rubbing! Theres nearly no curbing either just a little on one wheel.

I will be dropping it abit more at some point. Also unsure if I should go for the graphite grey look on the s rims or keep to the standard s look?

INTERIOR
My VTR interior has been looking very dim, burns, rips and basically no foam in the bolsters I decided enough is enough!

Since being a premium member I keep coming across a lot of goodies I want to buy, and come across some s seats which in my opinion they were in fantastic condition, I just had to give em abit of a steam clean and they did come up gleaaammminggg.

The original idea was to find some gti seats, with some gti mirrors, but I find them very hard to come by in good condition, so this is where I first got the idea to keep to the Citroen saxo vts look.

they sit very nice! feels like iv got alot more support and they hug me alot more!

Also decided to tidy up the boot abit and as all the panels where already off I ran new cables to my 6x9s and new power cables etc

Next on the list is to finish the interior:
S dials with blue leds
Black A-B-C pillars
Black carpet
New steering wheel
And to get a custom centre console made for my car computer!
Small light boot build

what do you think?

i really am considering on going back to black on the strips... gives it so much more charactor imo

That interior looks familiar!!

Car looked good when you came on Friday night, sorry I couldn't chat any longer.

I recommend the 2in supersprint system if you change exhaust.

I love mine. sounds unbelievable! If you want to do something to the front bumper, you could SPRAY a widemouth or actually widemouth? Just something to think about! Check my thread out if you fancy!

I like the colour coded bumpers but i would do the side strips gloss black just to break it up a bit

Thanks for the comments.
Iv decided that i will proberly go back to colour coded. I think once i start recieving my bonuses again after xmas im going to go for the euro look, so all smoothed over, slammed, deep dish alloys etc.

But my main concern atm is to get it all tidey as i can.
