Silver desire 1.1 flattie (this is gonna be slow in a few ways)
Ok so ive been splattering a few posts here and there, its time to have my own thread on my own saxo, seing as work will be starting very soon (we hope)
so here's my girl Stella
and here is the list of things i want/have to do to her!
soon:
new brakes (hopefully upgrade them)
new ariel (knocked mine off washing it... not sure how to fit a new one or anything )
new door check straps (drivers side wont hold, think the passengers side is going)
Fix passenger side lock
new bootlid (get rid of that nasty dent)
new rear bumper
colour code centre console, air vents, guages etc.
new doorcards, re-trimmed with silver/silvery grey
new roof liner (currently cream) black with silver stripe, if possible.
new head unit
new parcel shelf (modified to hold mid range speakers)
2 subs with amp (custom enclosure)
If i can:
Alloys (slightly euro style hopefully, wouldnt mind some bbs)
Dropped 30-50 mm
debadge new bootlid
Remove all scratches (any ideas for the deeper ones, could never afford a respray)
basically, things will get done as i save the money to do them, most of the work will be done by me, so this will probably be a slow one... but the head unit is being done tomorrow, and i might get the paint and start on my centre console while im at it
so, ideas? criticisms? reality checks?

I know, but seeing as some things are hopefully going to be getting done today, i thought i'd start a progress thread, instead of keep adding shit to the one in the newbies forum

All your targets seem well in reach, but:
Lower about 60mm
T-cut or paint badges black= nicer then removing them
Parcel shelf= Leave standard you dont need 6x9's
Upgrade your comps first
Aerial screws in, use so pliers if its stuck inside
Change rear lights back to standard/ smoked
Fit VTR alloys
De-wiper
Remove stickers from rear glass
Mesh grill
Spray inserts of headlights or fit angels
-Done

I want to keep it pretty much pure silver, sounds odd, i know, but i want to hilight interior parts silver (pics to come soon of the progress), keep the back lights, or maybe get some clear standards, wither keep the badges, smooth them, or go completely silver. i also want to mesh the grill and front bumper, either chrome or sprayed silver. i guess you'll see also want euro style deep dish alloys
i know its not to the taste of alot of forum users, and no disrespect, i love almost all of the cars i see on here, im just going for something a little different

Ok, interior work so far.... heater surrounds, speakers and centre piece are sprayed an in, no dramas with the other parts thank god does anyone know how to remove the rear speaker bits? the ones next to the back seet, i had a look and something tells me theyre just fake :L
still trying to find a suitable grey/solver fabric to retrim my door cards with...
anyway, PICTURES (although youve all seen it before)
no headunit yet, Myles is being a pain :L
yes it needs hoovering, and a good clean, but for how dusty it is round here, its hardly worth it until my new boot comes and i wanna flaunt it a bit
annnnnd a cheeky lil picture throguh the window... which needs cleaning.....and has a tractor in it.....

ok, now not many of you will know this, but the tailgate i bought off of gaz got fucked over by the delivery guys (i can put pics up if you all wanna be heart broken) so im basicallyt going to try fixing it up, smoothing it, getting it sprayed, then put it on after, seeing as i cant find a replacement just yet and the delivery company is full of cunts...
since updating, i have got the new headunit in and given it a good wax, but it will be clayed soon
anyway, other things to come are going to be some new alloys im hopefully getting tomorrow and will be refurbing metalic grey (a dark shade like gunetal hopefully), smoked rear and front lights on sunday (ideally wanted tinted jewels, but ill get around to that) and when i can actually get off my arse to sort it out, new brakes and dials.
still thinking of lowering it, but dont see many pictures of lowered flat arches? i dont want the back wheels to be in the arch, i dont want the masive gap at the front, and i dont want it nosedived... so whats the best drop i can do do you guys think?
just to re-iterate for you guys, LEXARSE LIGHTS ARE GOING. not sure if im going to be selling them to anyone around here, or if ill just think of some inventive way of destroying them and film it for your pleasure

i dont think ive actually looked at the led ones? tbh i like the whole silver on silver, but after looking around, it just doesnt work for me. ideally i'd like clear jewells with one half tinted almost pure black and a silver strip along the top
its funny, lexus lights look great on an is300.... why not my sax
