Could I get my saxo eastcoast 1.1 to beat my friends 1.25 fiesta?
We've both just got cars and he think because he has a bigger engine size he'll beat me.
I haven't even passed my test yet but by time i pass (in one months time hopefully) I want my car to be ready to beat his.
what can I do?

how did you get it to do that speed? did you change it in anyway? I can't imagine I could get mine to do 100.
I was hoping if I changed a few things like the air filter, oil filter and plugs I'd get a bit more out of her.

You're going to fit in so well here.
The answer btw is, they're both shit slow, so it doesn't matter if one of your granny engined cars is quicker than the other.
Also, not even passed your test and already planning on street racing? You'll be a statistic before long, and another reason for my insurance to go up from the claims resulting from your inevitable crash.

And FYI - I've got an East Coast 1.0ltr. I was in a bit of an emergency the other day and I did close to 100mph on the motorway. The 1.0 is actually 954cc and the 1.1 is actually 1124cc, so it's almost 200cc larger than the 1.0. My point is, yes yours would comfortably do over 100mph.

You've got to put a supercharger in it mate, that'll take it from currently 234.56 bhp to around 945.34 bhp.
Quids in then ...

My old Mk4 Fiesta 1.25 marginally beat a 106 Quiksilver and a 1.4 Westcoast
Just had an exhaust, induction kit and was stripped out..so i doubt your Saxophone would beat his

I can't remember saying street racing. By beat I mean out perform and yes just generally be quicker and be able to over take him.
So rest assure little buddy I'm not going to organize a race down a race through a school area.

You will be able to overtake easily if you aint racing.
Why would you want to overtake your mate anyway if you aint racing, you will both be going to the same place and if not, it aint a race is it. If you aint going the same place then theres no need to overtake a car you can hardly go faster than as he will turn off or you will and it would be a pointless overtake.
Basically you want to race

I just want to outdo him once. There's not a lot wrong with that.

There is.
Your car is slow.
By time you get to 30 its time to slow down again.

You honestly didn't expect replies like this when you posted the thread? It's not cool to race.
