Well.............
...............went to see a modded saxo vtr on monday night which some of you sould know, and told him i definatly want it and will collect on the weekend, friday night got a txt, sorry john just sold it as you have put no deposit down.................. :upset: ....gutted!!!!!!!
well anyway been looking at cars today, saw a 1999 S reg vtr which was dodgy as! had oil leaks and the seller swoped the car last night apparently! didnt go for that, went to look at a 02 plate VTR posi blue, 41,000 miles completely standard for $2,900........that a good price???
note: central locking doesnt work, it opens but doesnt lock with the keyfob
left mirror is hanging off, lots of dings and no parcel shelf.
anyone got a idea of how much this would cost to fix? the guy at the garadge didnt have a clue???????
thanks John

Late 2000 mate. Guy was about 30. Could tell it had been well looked after. Loads of receipts for all the work that had been done. Shame it got wrote off really.

thats a very good price! mines was going for 3 grand at a dealers and i talked him down to 2750, 44k on the clock Wreg. an 02 plate at 2900 sounds good like, a mirror wont be that much nor will a parcel shelf but if theres loads of dents, u shud get that assessed first, plus if its only 2900 what else is wrong with it?

Weigh up how much all these things will cost. Then see how much you can maybe knock the 2900 down. Then see if its worth while.

yeah, he took it in p-x and he gave 2800, so he wont go anymore down! suppose mirrors are about 50, ill get a new alarm so that will sort out locking and the dents and that shouldnt bother me that much at the moment! think ill go for it! bit suprising the speedo doesnt work tho!??!?!?!?

Hold on for something that doesn't need any work mate.
I bought my VTR the other week from a dealer, £4490 at Citroen with 12,000 miles on the clock and 1 lady owner - nothing up whatsoever.
Keep looking and make sure you get the right one.

to give you idea
i got mine 40,000 on clock V reg, immacualte for £2500. I think £2995 is over priced specially in poor condition. If its bodywork damage aswell i wouldnt touch it body work is VERY expensive, you could end up paying another £1000 in bodywork repairs and to get ur central locking sorted.
Id say avoid that 1 mate
.... Being trade they have probably added about £800 onto the normal sale price anyway
