not a bad motor it has to be said.
I bet it sounds epic with that air filter when you give it revs!

Love the motor, pulls so well. Surprised a few people already!
It's got a slight blow in the exhaust, but for a standard system it's not bad at all, pretty quiet from the inside though lol

Ah the whores boudoir interior haha! Relatively decent as standard with an LSD but you should take the K out, put that in a metro and then slip in a T-series turbo!

Haha! I could, but i wanted a car i dont need to mess about with. Its fast enough at the moment anyway. Few little tweaks and it will see 160+bhp but its just so much nicer, not having a stupidly loud exhaust and an engine that may, or may not start!

Not sure whether it'll see 160 with just minor mods to a 143 vvc but a better manifold and downpipe is the place to start, ZR 160 6 bolt being the obvious choice as the 143 runs the same as all normal cam 16v Ks. The mems 2j ecu cant be remapped however you could get a reground piper exhaust cam in it which should offer some nice gains. Have a read of Dave Andrews vvc tuning guide

Yeah, I know the mems2 ecu isn't mappable, so I'll be going for the emerald. Completely different to a saxo, so it's a completely new learning curve... I'll be sure to take a look at Davies guide, cheers matey.

Good show mate, have a word with Dave RCR on metropower - he got 190 horses out of his vvc and that wasnt using throttle bodies! Mems3 conversion might be cheaper that emerald, there are remaps available for those but wont be as flexible obviously

Hadn't considered a mems3 actually! Something to look into, defiantly. Plan on squeezing some more power over it eventually, ont want to go over the top though lol. Keeping it looking exactly as it is though

Love the interiors on these and getting quite rare now by all accounts.
A bit ahead of time here maybe but a potential future classic
