Not sure
Right, not a saxo, my daily drive astra SRI has just been through a MOT 120k on here passed no advisorys. However it has started to develop a noise from the front left. Like a wurring noise that stops when turning left and gets louder turning hard right?
Is this the driveshaft? if it is see ya daily

Wheel bearing more likely.

Well I'm guessing of course having not heard it lol
But if it's a drone that doesn't change much with speed, it's likely bearing. Does it click on full lock, slow turning circles or anything? That would point to a cv joint.

How's it react to temperature? Quieter when cars been left to cool completely (overnight or something) then louder once you've done a few miles? Or no difference?
I do think bearing still tbh - do you have any judder/vibration through the steering wheel like an unbalanced wheel feels like?

It really could be either the shaft/cv or the bearing tbh - really hard to diagnose over the interwebs
A constant drone straight ahead then gets better with very slight adjustment to one direction (say 50mph on dual carriageway, drift slowly into other lane) would point to wheel bearing in my opinion, whereas the vibration points to the cv joint/shaft unless the bearing is really fucked, then it can do it too. It'll probably be fine for a while yet (famous last words there mind you... Don't sue me)
