Cheers mate. My dads health and safety officer for rotherham council, so i know a fair bit about health and safety haha.
Unemployed at moment, applying for anything and everything, but lack of CSCS card is letting me down on labouring jobs etc.

Mostly common sense but you need to know about site safety, what diff coloured fire extinguishers mean and are used for etc
Water and electrical safety etc
Stuff like using air powered tools in wet trenches and shit like that

For Revision notes pm me your email address mate. I did mine last week do have most of the 'official' book scanned in sections. Think there is a section missing as I only took tw yellow card for site visitors, but I might be able to get the missing one as well.

Green one called "site operative" only cost something like £20 iirc. Piss easy to test.....there were fucking foreigners who barely speak a word of english walking out the door with a pass when i did mine.

Just spotted this. Get on the website for a look at what card you need.
Its pretty cheap so even if you spend £10 on a test cd from ebay you can practice at home for a small price.
I did my black managers card not long back and it was piss easy! Just 50 questions instead of 40?
Extinguishers and basic knowledge is all you need. When you read the questions 90% of them 2 answers are obviously bollocks and the other two will be worded slightly different so read carefully

Took this two years ago, because my company was going into the construction (into live building sites) side of pipework.
Pretty simple straight forward test, basically just common sense.
Stu there should be a test centre in Edinburgh, but if there isn't the one in glasgow is beside the Skypark (beside SECC)

Basically yeah
They just sign for you and you have to be registered with cscs iirc, so you can still work but haven't got the card, think they put a number against your name
Along the lines of.. Your registered to sit the test but haven't actually sat it yet
Think I worked on sites for 3+ years before I took the test
