Overrated cars - Take 2!
Rather obviously following on from the "underrated cars" thread, I thought it would be interesting to see what people consider to be overrated cars.
Thoughts? And yes - we all know the Saxo is overrated before the comedy genius chips in...

BMWs are overrated IMO. I just don't see why people think they are so special. Yes I have been in one etc but they just doesn't do it for me. The only ever decent bwm made was the E30 M3.

Funny you should say that - that is my first choice.
Astra Coupe turbo too - test drove one when they were fresh (IE I test drove a 02 plate car in 2002) and I think I insulted the Vauxhall sales rep when he asked me what I thought and the first word out my mouth was "slow". lol.

Sorry what, I'm guessing they were peasant spec that you went in. Go for a ride in an M5 or a new 7 series Li (just for the space) then compare an old and not exactly fast or well equipped E30.

But how can the ACT be over-rated when its not a car that was raved about upon release, and to this day, its not a car thats known to be fast in standard form??

I would actually agree with Ross, if infact the ACT was a car that gets raved about, but its not. Simply because its not a brilliant car in standard form and many, if not all, owners would agree with that. Even the GSi is pretty shit in standard form.
