6 spoke Speedlines and you could get them 3 or 4 stud in gold, silver or white.
I specifically remember from when I bought my first saxomebob

My mom had a 1999 Westcoast
The dealer where she bought it from at the time had an offer for a free OZ wheel upgrade. You could choose one of six types. She had these in a 14 inch wheel...

Let me rephrase. They didn't offer them to me... I got all the usual choices - colour, sunroof/non etc. But the salesman never mentioned wheels.

lol yes. I think the additional cost was negligible (£650 rings a bell) so when you're dropping 12k on a gti the extra "made sense". Luckily I've experienced 106's before buying mine new and wanted to own a gti... not a sieve

sunroofs are a nightmare, not only the design where it traps water up near the sunroof itself so it pools and cant run away but when it does work the water drains into the sill with tiny holes to let it out that'll just get blocked with mud? talk about poor design
