Default Help with abs issue

Right my abs light and handbrake light have come on. My Vts was a barn find that had been sat on a farm for about 3 years before coming to my ownership. The abs light was on and after checking the sensors and giving them and the rings a clean the light was still on. Checking all the wires for the sensors they're all in good condition to look at ie no splits/cracks which led me to the pump. Changed that and fully bled the system replacing all the old fluid and now the handbrake lights come on.

Basically I'm asking what have I missed and does anyone have a diagram showing which sensors wires go into the plug in the bay so I can get a multi meter on it and check them.

Worth noting there's no engine bay codes on the odb2

Cheers rorz

Check the sensors individually, 900-1300ohms. they should all be similar reading.

trying to explain the pinout at the plug on the pump is a nightmare as there's too many variations.

Usually, the abs light AND the brake warning light on at the same time indicate pump/module failure or a blown fuse. Dead sensors only trigger the ABS warning light.

I've just changed over the abs module for one that was working so I'm truly stumped, the handbrake light has only come on since the pumps were swapped over

Was going to say that the sensors only set off the abs light and nothing else.

Scroll down further and youll find pics to test with a multimeter

Your original pump module was working then if the brake warning light came on after swapping them, the pump you have fitted may have a different pinout i.e from a 106 perhaps?

Put your original pump back in, and measure the resistance across your sensors.

why can't you put your original module back on? It was working if that light wasn't on!

If you intend on keeping that "new" module, and you know it works. you've got a LOT of splicing to do

nae joy!

Alternative, is to remove it completely

Not removing it, did that in my last Vts and didn't like it. Got 100bhp's worth of nos setup on this engine so the extra weight doesn't worry me , looking at the pic it's only 8 wires that need changing no big deal.
