Default Dust cover right wheel arch.

Took my Saxo for NCT (MOT in the UK) and I failed due to it missing a dust cover. The guy at the testing center said it was to stop dirt getting in steering box area. Look my knowledge is very basic when it comes to a car but I was wondering if anyone has any ideas as to what this is? I went to dismantles today and the guy there looked at me like I had 40 heads and from all the Saxo's I had a look at in the yard I can't seem to spot the difference to mine. If possible can someone post a pic or two of what they may think this guy at the testing center is on about.

Kind regards

Killerspec

Stab in the dark...

Could be the rubber gater on the end of the steering rack. Do you have the failure on the MOT which will give us more information.

I'd say that's what is is aswell. This is what they look like, should be on the end of the steering rack in your drivers wheel arch http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Steering-R...cAAOSwWKtUspzj

One of these. If that's missing then yes it's
Important. Mine has just started to crack 😢😢

So gaffa tape to the rescue as a temporary fix.
