I'm 17 and I own my saxo. It is my car, my policy but my mum is the main driver as I use MY motorbike to commute to college every day. I drive my car occasionally (at nights sometimes to go to the shops and weekends). I'm paying £1700 fully comp for this with a pass plus cert. and i've been passed roughly 3 weeks. I'm really happy with this as my cheapest quote before that was £7000ish. I'm one of the cases where I am actually the named driver and I got them to put a note on my policy that I use my motorbike to commute every day so they don't think i'm fronting. I do not agree with fronting but I understand why 17 year olds don't want to pay in excess of £4000 just to insure a car for a year.
