the plans are fairly unchanged from those on the previos page.
i am starting wrapping my exhaust manifold, at firt i wasnt going to but i really dont like how close it sits to the alternator and there is no heat shield.
so i painted it with wurth high temp paint in prep for it being finished off tomorrow.

well i have been really busy with the car this week so far, trying to do this and help my dad do customers cars and study is hard work. these are all i have managed to snap up to now.
clutch replacement was on the cards for this week
so the standard stripping of the car began
box out and cleaned. The degreaser i used was that hardcore im sure i heard the 'box yelp as it put it on.
uprated valeo clutch in
baker grp n mount
grp n linkages
the box is back and and everythin refitted minus suspension.
i also have to repair the bumper so thats off
here is how it stands atm ( the mini is a customers a 67 cooper s we are rally preping)
and lastly when i had a spare 5 mins i knocked out these.
so i can use standard style top mounts with my ledas which i'm dropping off to be revalved and serviced next week.
still got to do a full service inc belts, finish heatwrapping the manifold overhaul rear beam, retrim, fit stereo system then do a full geomety check and adjust what i can and probably lots more things.
i'll keep the updates coming!

youtube vid of the exhaust, it is loud, the vid makes it sound mega raspy but its not that bad and im hoping it will carbon up and take the edge off it.
it has a raceland and a custom jp exhaust manifold back system inc a hi-flow cat.

im sending them off to be revalved ross to take a lower poundage spring as i was under the impression they would work with 150lbs but apparently not, so im having them redone to take 225lb (rather then the 350lb's they're set up for) so i will be uprating torsion bars too so it will stop on the apex kit for a little while longer.

Not tempted to stick with 350 and then run 23mm rear bars? Or that way too hard?
The wait will be worth it !! You got ledas for the rear too?

yeah a matching front and rear set-up.
to hard for me that with it not being a full blown race car it will knock the crap out of the shell and be so uncomfortable.
i'll most likely go 21-22mm bars
you not tempted to take yours to the ring with the bodies on ross? we are going in june not long after fcs *hint hint*

Lol the day after FCS my car will be in bits! Engine out, interior out, suspension off ready for a couple of months of welding and getting ready for boost and the new engine.
Plus it allows me to sell the TBs, lightweight flywheel etc. S1 box, S2 box as they all won't be needed.
Suspension setup sounds mint, should be bearable on the road which is nice!!

there are alot more pics but i will wait till the rest of the car has been done.
the black stuff in the bottom right is black wax oyl id rather it look a bit grubby than rust.
i have a cold air feed to get put on and an omp strut brace which will be powder coated satin black.

well this maybe the end for the car tbh.
i let sombody else change the timing belt and they managed to get the timing 90' out i dont know how but they did and turned the engine over and you guessed it klang v2p contact.
im sorting it tommorrow because i feel sick about it atm.
i will do a leakdown check tomorrow and if its bent somthing i will sort it and the car will go and i will beat the person responsible to death.
not a good update lol
