Just fitted my stereo, strapped for cash now for a month or two, bought some JBL speakers GT5-500C I think, got them for my mate but he got some halfrauds ones instead lucky me

Waiting for my mate to bring some tools round and I will go ahead and fit it in, in the next couple of months I will be debadging, lowering, new alloys, bonet bra and possibly carbon fibre vynl at the top possibly, not sure yet!

Ideas people?

And also smoked lights, is it ok if the car cuts out when you start it first time in the morning and you have to apply some gass to get it started?

Fitted these in but it messed up, not a clue the door card goes on but not on the bottom right, I might of snapped one of the clips of by accident

Next month I may get some GTI doorcards

Right, I see....

If the speaker fits in the door and screws into the original holes then it's the right size speaker. The problem might just be that a clip has moved. The clips have a bit of movement on them so that they'll fit snug. just gotta be careful taking the cards off so you don't knacker them. Just try and line the clips up as best as you can while re-fitting the door card and see how you go.

Yeh I broke the bottom right door clips, no biggie will be getting some 106 door cards start of next year... got my mate to come and give me a hand with a drill and got the left speaker wired up pretty nice, just need to do the right now...

Have a problem what should I do about this?

first of all rub it down and spray it with some rust protection, then decide whether you want o give it ago at spraying it your self, i personally would try and do it, no offense even if it dosent look great ill look better than the rust or just find another wing on ebay or scrappies

Thanking of fucking it off and getting a new panel tbh with all the shades of green I wouldn't even start on finding the right spray to match my car

You can remove the keypad by typing in the code and starting the engine, whilst it running you can then unplug the connector for the keypad and thats it done. Turn it off and start it again just to make sure though mate
