Id sooner buy a clio 182 straight out and fit cams to it with other breathing mods and see 200bhp on that, but then again im a mechanic myself and the last thing i want to do when i get home from a 12hr day is work on my car lol. Good work though,il be keeping my eye on this

Cheers mate, its been a Long stressful and money wasting journey. I would have saved a lot of money if could have done the work myself but I anit a mechanic lol.
I understand about what you mean as well, you would not want come home and work on your car if you been working on cars for 12hrs a day. Lol

the block are near identical to each other , the only difference is an breather hole on the block which is missing on the VTR block.. now you can try to drill this hole i think its around 12mm but the block will crack when you get near the size needed..
also thing with 2nd hand blocks is there normally high mileage engines and there will be a lip on the cylinder wall which will reduce engine output power, so it will have to re-bored & honed to get rid of this and depending how much it has to be bored by you may have to get oversized rings or pistons.. which all adds up alot more then £50..

A little update.
The Car is back home, and all I can say is that pug1off did a amazing job.
The car was amazing to drive back, even tho I could not push all the way it still delivered the goods.
