Default Wheel cleaning advice please :)

Right, need a little bit of advice from the detailing guru's here. Ive got a set of highly polished alloys and im looking into purchasing some wheel cleaner and wheel sealant, For the sealant i'm going for poorboys wheel sealant and i was going to go for the bilberry wheel cleaner (heard good reviews) but read somewhere it cant be used on highly polished alloys? I also read you should use ph neutral on polished alloys? Is bilberry not Ph neutral? I have been looking at this wheel cleaner- has anyone used this before? any good?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3903455640...#ht_500wt_1127

if not can anyone reccomend a good wheel cleaner that is ok for highly polished alloys?.

Many thanks Ash

Use getchniq c5 mate and you won't need wheel cleaner, a good shampoo mix will suffice. I'd never buy bilberry again it sucks and not suited to your wheels.

I would suggest speaking to a professional tbh.

Also I would find out if they are lacquered or not, and what the exact finish is if you can as that might help.

for polished wheels just keep them sealed up and use car shampoo but bilberry is a good wheel cleaner.

Thanks for the replies, So just seal them and then wash them regularly with my normal car shampoo? i was thinking of giving them a couple of coats of ag srp then seal them with poorboys wheel sealant. Does that sounds good?

Clean them first then seal, if you use gtechniqs C5 to seal them you won need a wheel cleaner again as snowfoam/shampoo will do the trick.

To clean you either use a highly diluted mix of bilberry or other safe wheel cleaner or use something like wolf deironiser or iron x

The alloys are actually brand new, haven't even got tyres fitted yet. I want to get them all sealed up before i put them on the car to protect them

Ok well just use the C5 then that should do you for a good 6month+ protection.

I did look into that but it's bloody expensive! On another note- I purchased some autosol today. would that be ok to use on my alloys? it says on the box not for use on un-lacquered alloys but surely my highly polished alloys will be lacquered? wouldnt they?
