I worked on the first one into Scotland and it was rejected, the wrap was a mess and had to be redone For a car like that, at that price tag over the standard RS, they should have painted it in matte and not wrapped it.

But saying that it was a stunning car

I love that car but for the price i wouldnt expect it to have a vinyl wrap bet you got to be carefull with what you use to clean it.

Its a nightmare, most shampoo's have some form of Gloss Enhancement in it which will effect the matte finish. Swissvax are the only company out there who actually do a car care range spefically for matte finishes to ensure their is no gloss enhancement. I was asked by Swissvax to carry out a protection on the RS500 and realised at that stage how difficult it would be for the average person to maintain. It would be soo easy to inflict scuffs, scratches and if they opted to wax it themselves, they would really struggle, its not like waxing a normal car, its hard work, too as long to protect that than it does to correct a small car (and wax etc)

When I was last getting my car mapped, Steve Greenald had a Montune RS500 on the dyno before they were released for sale. I was a bit surprised to say the least. I'd love one. Didn't make much power mind you, but nothing a few tweaks wouldn't sort out

Good watch, but would stone chips ruin the wrap?

No more than they'd ruin the paint of a non-wrapped car, often less damage is done. And worst case, you get it rewrapped - a lot cheaper than a respray
