Default European roadtrip/driving holiday

As per title, I would love to do one at some point! Obviously it needs a fair bit of planning to price up just how expensive it would be etc, so doubt if I'll do one for a while. Just interested in peoples past experiences and if they have any hints or tips for doing something like this.

Get decent euro breakdown cover. Decent insurance and get all the stuff now needed for france.

Other than that don't carry large amounts of money most banks now do a European cash card and plan your route before you go.

Have a word with the guys that are going down to the Nurburgring in June time mate - they can give you an idea of costings for petrol etc. There's a thread here for all the chat about the trip but I'm sure they won't mind you asking about a potential trip

Currently in a beautiful little apartment a few miles from the Nurburgring. Was an awesome drive down although the French weather was a bit crap.

Budget plenty for fuel and bring along a decent camera/video.

Our motors and where we are staying.

We go every year, 2 of us in 1 car, do a trackday then about 1500 miles of touring.
Budget £250 a day including fuel, channel tunnel, tolls, hotels, food and entertainment!
