AX VTS Build now, VTS Stripped
Thought I'd start a thread, I bought Nicole's VTS a few weeks back and I was originally just going to use it as a daily after giving it a little TLC.
However, I've decided to slum it on the trains since its summer (and 80% cheaper) and do something with the S.
So I'm thinking of doing an AX build if I can find a shell. Nothing flash, just a 16v conversion with Nicole's as the donor.
Going to try and keep spending to a minimum. Going to sell a few bits not needed such as the tyres (nod to Muz), the solid mounts, 286 Brakes and the exhaust. Use these pennies to fund the AX.
Biggest challenge will be to find an AX, so if anyone knows of one, PM me.

I take it you'll be looking for an AX GT/GTi or Forte with the kit on it?
Or base model for the sleeper effect?

My mam (sorry, no pics of my mam) used to have a maroon P Reg 1.0 AX. She had it for years and was mint. So I'm thinking sleeper.
Must have body coloured bumpers really, that's my only condition. See what comes up, not looking to spend more that £400.
Something with HG failure would be ideal

Miles away from you but for the price it's a bargain

Has seen that one, was thinking it looks good. The distance is the killer, if it was a right dog (he's spinning a good yarn for that price, has to be a catch!!)
If it was closer it would be on the drive now.

A further point is I accept that an AX might be hard to come by. Might have to settle for sa desire which are plentiful.
If I go done the Desire route I'll have a choice of colour.

Was somethjng up with that two tone vts? Seems a shame to break it in my view of its solid but it's your car so go for it
If it were me I'd hold out for an ax, as soon as you buy a desire base model saxo an ax will pop up local to you it's always the way

Mechanically it's a good car. Cosmetically it's a bit rough, the body kit is hanging off all over and the bump strips have had a terrible gloss black paint job which is peeling and cracked.
Starting to see some good rust on the boot, it could all be sorted out pretty easily but I'm thinking why not do something else otherwise boredom will creep in.
I'm keeping my options open at the minute, but I think your right I need to hold out for an AX.

See that one pop up Steve, not to far just no MOT. To get it here would cost a bit, plus the bumpers.
