1986 Audi quattro. 4 wheel drive.
Well, how to start.
Okay, well the car is not mine. The fella that owns it is in oz.
Well the car was in a shed for 4 years up to about 5 months ago, he came home for his brother ingagement party, he toke it out and parked it outside the house .(where it is now)(long story short, dad renting place). When he came back home about a month ago for the wedding, he got a old mate to take a look at it, the fella said,even though he knew dave(owner) would kill him, but he said sell it .
SO ANYWAY, dave went back to oz and left the audi outside.
He is going to sell it. Heres some pics.
NOW for the bad news
AS you can see the engine is ruined with rust. The brakes are the same, don't know about the suspesion. Do people think its worth spending money on and buying for VERY little. Maybe a new engine .
Sorry for the long talk, now you just have to comment .
C&C welcome,
Trev.

I think yes, if you have the time now and commitment but it would be a huge project

I love those cars mate. Looks beautiful, shame about the engine, I'd go for the rebuild. Would be a beaut once finished!

Dude you can literally walk through a crowd of young pussy, with a set of keys, long coat and a smart suit underneath, and gently utter to words;
"Lets fire up the Quattro."

Well the car does start but don't want to drive just in case the brakes fail, which they will. Going to find out how much a rebuild will cost.

Wouldnt say its ruined, wouldnt trust that high pressure piping though. I'd pull the engine out, tear down and inspect it. It could just be rusty pipes and covers with the internals being OK. Long shot I know, I'd reckon all the seals are dried up. I'd put a later 20v in
